The development will create a strategic, high quality, east-west road corridor across the site. This would join the M23 to the east via a new junction, and improve connections to East Surrey Hospital and the A23 to the west. The road will help relieve congestion in Reigate and Redhill, and reduce the potential for traffic to ‘rat run’ through surrounding villages. We are currently exploring three options for the route of the new link road.
The new link road would enable existing bus services to be enhanced and extended to serve the site and local railway stations, improving accessibility to community infrastructure and reducing journey times. The accessibility of public transport links would be further enhanced by improved cycle links and footpaths.
